Job Summary

The Cement Mechanic is experienced with regular or diesel mechanic work, maintains and repairs equipment used in cement operations, responds to calls to perform repairs on location, and uses diagnostic software to monitor engines or transmissions for needed repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair equipment used in cement operations (i.e., tractors, cement pumps, bulk trucks, etc.)
  • Respond to calls to perform repairs at job location
  • Process work orders daily
  • Monitors cement equipment to anticipate future maintenance needs
  • Use diagnostic software to monitor engines or transmissions for needed repairs
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 6 months experience with regular or diesel mechanic work, preferred
  • DL8 and Alison software knowledge, required
  • Maintaining a valid, current driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
  • Basic communication skills, required; must be able to interact with team and follow directions
  • Basic computer skills, required
  • Current, valid CDL, preferred
  • Freightliner maintenance experience, preferred
  • Must provide own tools, service trucks will be provided for on-site work
  • Consistently uphold a team player attitude and a hard work mentality
  • Must be available to work a 14/7 shift, can safely perform required duties during a 12+ hour workday that will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be physically able to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance and 25 lbs. over head
  • Must be physically able to stand or sit for extended periods, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout work shift.
