Description

The Iron Technician assists with the breakdown and repair of all iron used in hydraulic fracturing operations, rebuilds iron, and rigs up equipment for pressure testing.

  • Assist with the breakdown and repair of all iron used in hydraulic fracturing operations

  • Load and unload iron from equipment

  • Break down and rebuild iron

  • Rig up equipment for pressure testing

  • Paint iron for crew designation

  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 1-year experience working with hydraulic fracturing iron, preferred

  • Maintaining a current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required

  • Clear communications skills with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English

  • Must be able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic

  • Must be physically able to manage a labor-intensive environment

  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift

  • Ability to perform duties safely in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Employee may be exposed to distracting and uncomfortable noise levels
