As Reliability engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, leading, and executing activities that are aimed at reducing the costs of failure caused by non-productive time, repair costs, personnel, and premature product failures.  This role works within or in close collaboration with regional service delivery, global product line and engineering, quality and supply chain functions to ensure comprehensive incident management and robust corrective action implementation

As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for: 

  • Demonstrate stand-alone root cause analysis on all assigned technologies via evaluation of memory files and tool performance indicators.
  • Give instruction to AMO and/or Reliability Specialists on hardware investigation steps and requirements
  • Create and present reliability performance and/or reports for Internal and external customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to Operation and Supply chain customers for specified technologies.
  • Facilitate Incident and Corrective Action Review Board meetings.
  • Analyze appropriate data to monitor fleet performance.
  • Create Cause Maps for specified technologies.
  • Create single technology business key performance indicators as required.
  • Provide deviation waiver request (DWR) support across specified technologies.
  • Provide tool release to AMO group for all assigned technologies.
  • Provide instruction and knowledge transfer to the Reliability community.
  • Act as a mentor to Junior Reliability Engineers / Reliability Specialists
  • Witness testing and disassembly of tools as required.
  • Conduct specialized testing and investigation where necessary.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health, Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Technical Support is preferred
  • Broad technical knowledge
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English
