Description

Job Summary The Heavy Haul Driver has a Class A Commercial’s Driver’s License (CDL-A), safely drives units day or night in all weather conditions and complies with all safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Safely and legally drive company owned units day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions (occasionally over long distances)
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment each job
  • Accurately maintain driver logs
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports
  • Follow instructions and complete the required training
  • Work variable schedule to meet business needs
  • Maintain and utilize required safety equipment
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience, required
  • Maintaining a valid and current CDL-A and a clean driving record, required
  • Minimum 21 years of age, required
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, required
  • Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug test and physical examination, required
  • Able to pass a road test, required
  • Able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions, required
  • Able to perform Pre- and Post-trip Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) inspection, required
  • Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, must be able to read, write, speak, and follow directions in English
