Baker Hughes has an opening for a Global Product Line Manager for Multilaterals based out of our CTI facility in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for managing the existing product portfolio while bringing new products to market. The Product Manager will work closely with engineering and marketing to develop game changing technology our customers demand. Knowledge of key demographics and an innovative perspective on product development are important in this role. If you understand the consumer market and distribution channels, we are interested in speaking with you.

As a Global Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Product / service life-cycle strategy & management.
  • Devising proactive approach to link product and service strategy with marketing/competitive profiles.
  • Plans and designs platform strategies for short term /long term product positioning and business impact based on market and technology dynamics.
  • Aligning and leading organizations to maintain advantage over the competition.
  • Proactively working with customers to develop new solutions that drive market growth.
  • Conducting internal technical and sales training when needed to expand awareness of the product capabilities.
  • Being the voice of the product line with our global customer network and strive for share growth in the segment.
  • Identifying potentially disruptive technology to attention of the business with a critical assessment of the threat and opportunity, potential impact, as well as possible mitigation solution and strategic roadmap for incorporation or response

To be successful in this role you will have:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree      
  • 5+ years of Multilaterals experience – combination of field and operations experience.
  • Thorough technical understanding of all systems that make up a typical Multilateral wellbore.
  • Project/Product Development Management (PDM) Process
  • Ability to work through and with other parts of the organization
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of global product standards and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • 25% Global Travel to regions outside US

Desired Characteristics:

  • Engineering degree preferred
  • Wellbore Construction experience in operations specifically marketing/sales experience       
  • Knowledge of various completions tools including annular isolation, cementing equipment, liner hangers, intelligent/upper completions, etc
