As our Strategic Partnerships Lead, your role will be to focus on finding, facilitating, and managing key alliances and acquisitions that drive value creation. You will assess the market landscape, evaluate competitors and potential partners, and identify their alignment and positioning relative to our business objectives, value proposition and differentiation. You will help prioritize areas of focus for collaboration or acquisition, and work with product and go-to-market teams on the ideal mix of build vs buy vs partner. You will work to uncover the motivations that drive the target organization to enable win-win contract negotiations.
Under general supervision, work with product development and go-to-market teams to support the development and implementation of effective strategies, business plans and special initiatives.
Facilitate the strategy development work of these teams as required.
Perform business case analysis for proposed alliances or acquisitions.
Employs a variety of strategy development and analysis tools, including economic modeling, financial analysis, market analysis, scenario planning, and strategic planning.
Review, understand, and provide feedback on product value proposition.
In consideration of product roadmap and requirements, and provide build, buy, partner recommendations.
Assess companies and organizations for partnership, collaboration or acquisition.
Contribute to deep trend analysis and research of interesting exemplars in the marketplace.
Identify insights from customer and competitor research and market analysis to share with product and go-to-market teams.
Drive the identification of relevant trends and formulation of future scenarios, implications and opportunities.
Facilitate the execution of alliances and acquisitions, the maintenance of these relationships, and the generation of the expected value from these relationships.
Evaluate ongoing benefits of existing relationships and provide recommendations on their continuation.
You should have:
7+ years of work experience
MBA or other equivalent graduate degree in design, business, psychology, strategy, marketing or another relevant field; or equivalent work experience
Postgraduate qualification or significant experience in a relevant industry
Significant experience working in a corporate setting, startup or for an agency driving digital transformation work.
Experience with digital B2B or commercial software/digital preferred.
Experience/education in sustainability and climate change preferred.
