Description

The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager reports directly to the VP of Strategy and Optimization; ensures efficient and effective project management and delivery within the organization; oversees the organization’s project portfolio to ensure strategic objective alignment and business requirement prioritization; and implements changes and enhancements to improve project delivery.

  • Report to and work collaboratively with the VP of Strategy and Optimization to implement the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Establish and enforce project governance standards and methodologies to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule by assisting project managers with creating detailed project plans, progress tracking, and monitoringKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform capacity planning, resource forecasting, and skill assessments to allocate resources and ensure appropriate skill sets for each project
  • Generate regular reports on project status, key performance metrics, and other relevant information
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, the VP of Strategy and Optimization, and the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Establish and enforce project management standards, templates, and tools to promote consistency and streamline project delivery processes
  • Identify areas for improvement in project management processes and methodologies
  • Implement changes and enhancements that continuously improve project delivery
  • Engage with stakeholders at various levels to understand needs, expectations, and concerns
  • Ensure that projects align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, preferred
  • Experience leading projects and/or PMP certification, preferred
  • Oil and gas experience, preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; can effectively interact with personnel and leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management skills: able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Flexible, can manage unexpected deadlines or work requirements
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive
  • Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and can quickly learn other work-related system
