Job Summary

The Logistics Driver is a CDL-A holder that safely delivers equipment via oversized silo trailer or acid tanker to wellsite locations; consistently complies with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; and safely travels long distances day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver equipment to wellsite job locations via oversize silo trailer or acid tanker
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations
  • Maintain accurate FMCSA E-log requirements for each trip
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured before each trip
  • Utilize Automized Logistics Platform to receive or supply necessary information
  • Safely operate forklift to load and unload materials
  • Attend training to obtain required moving equipment certification (i.e., forklift)
  • Consistently arrive at wellsite destinations on schedule
  • Assist less experienced drivers with duties and responsibilities
  • Notify supervisor within 24 hours of any on or off-duty driving violation
  • Exercise stop-work authority upon witnessing unsafe behavior or condition
  • Safely drive company units long distances day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 1 year experience as a flat bed, straight truck, pump truck or transport driver, required
  • Oversized load experience, preferred
  • Maintain a current, valid CDL A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement and a clean driving record, required
  • Must hold valid forklift certification (or be willing to attend and pass forklift certification training course)
  • Clear knowledge of DOT regulations, required
  • Can independently exercise sound judgement in adverse weather conditions and safely operate hydraulics
  • Clear communications skills, can follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Basic computer skills, able to quickly learn work related software
  • Personable with strong teamwork skills
  • Must be physically able to drive long distances day or night, on various road types and in all weather conditions
  • Must be physically able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Must be physically able to sit and stand for extended periods
  • Must be physically able to safely perform required duties in all weather conditions including extreme hot or cold
  • Must be physically able to safely lift 50 lbs. (25 lbs. overhead)
