Job Summary
The Logistics Driver is a CDL-A holder that safely delivers equipment via oversized silo trailer or acid tanker to wellsite locations; consistently complies with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; and safely travels long distances day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver equipment to wellsite job locations via oversize silo trailer or acid tanker
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate FMCSA E-log requirements for each trip
- Ensure all loads are properly secured before each trip
- Utilize Automized Logistics Platform to receive or supply necessary information
- Safely operate forklift to load and unload materials
- Attend training to obtain required moving equipment certification (i.e., forklift)
- Consistently arrive at wellsite destinations on schedule
- Assist less experienced drivers with duties and responsibilities
- Notify supervisor within 24 hours of any on or off-duty driving violation
- Exercise stop-work authority upon witnessing unsafe behavior or condition
- Safely drive company units long distances day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a flat bed, straight truck, pump truck or transport driver, required
- Oversized load experience, preferred
- Maintain a current, valid CDL A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement and a clean driving record, required
- Must hold valid forklift certification (or be willing to attend and pass forklift certification training course)
- Clear knowledge of DOT regulations, required
- Can independently exercise sound judgement in adverse weather conditions and safely operate hydraulics
- Clear communications skills, can follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Basic computer skills, able to quickly learn work related software
- Personable with strong teamwork skills
- Must be physically able to drive long distances day or night, on various road types and in all weather conditions
- Must be physically able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
- Must be physically able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Must be physically able to safely perform required duties in all weather conditions including extreme hot or cold
- Must be physically able to safely lift 50 lbs. (25 lbs. overhead)
