Partner with the best
As a Field Specialist - MWD (Measurement While Drilling) you will be acting as a guide to ensure the drilling of an oil well stays on target. You will measure the incline of the drill, the depth of the drill and the azimuth, or direction, of the drill to develop a three-dimensional plot of a wellbore. You will provide real-time data during the drilling operation, allowing Directional Drillers (DDs) to properly steer a drill.
As a Field Specialist - MWD (Measurement While Drilling), you will be responsible for:
- Assembling MWD tools as part of the bottom hole assembly (BHA).
- Analyzing and interpreting MWD data and providing to DDs, Geologists, Drillers, Management, or the client, as required.
- Identifying, preventing, and reporting potential hazards.
- Conducting post-operations tests once equipment is pulled out of the wellbore.
- Maintaining MWD tools and equipment by servicing and performing day-to-day inspections.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a high school diploma / GED.
- Have a valid Driver's License.
- Have experience gained in an energy, oil, and gas environment or industrial (or similar).
- Be able to demonstrate good hands-on knowledge and experience of directional drilling.
- Demonstrate networking and computer skills and be familiar with MS Office.
- Be detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to identify and solve problems.
- Be an efficient team player, with the ability to adapt in an ever-changing, dynamic environment, and work independently.
