Job Summary

The Parts Supervisor provides leadership and direction to the Parts Facilitators and other warehouse staff, establishes and maintains effective communication with fellow team members and necessary personnel, and prioritizes safety and cleanliness of the warehouse. Responsibilities include maintaining metrics, cost center budget, and guidance to personnel, including continuous and cross training.

Responsibilities

  • Act as supervisory direct report for Parts Facilitators (i.e., performance management, corrective action, training, defining daily priorities, creating work schedules, etc.)
  • Manage time and attendance for Parts Facilitators, including timecard approval and paid time off requests
  • Oversee the hiring of Parts Facilitators (i.e. collaborate with Human Resources recruiters, perform interviews, select qualified talent, etc.)
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining customer goodwill, including greeting and acknowledging all customers he/she encounters
  • Strong organization skills, which enables the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be an independent worker
  • Place orders for parts and materials, including maintaining required paperwork as needed
  • Provide parts lookup and assistance to employees, technicians and third parties as needed
  • Maintain integrity of parts room and related secured areas
  • Ensure all parts movements are performed in and out of the system in a timely manner
  • Continuously improve upon lowering and maintaining all stock out and on hold orders
  • Help maintain, manage, and report all directed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Report and record any discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, and broken or unidentified packages to the supervisor
  • Assist in the disposition of surplus inventory
  • Assist in daily cycle counts and Annual Physical Inventory counts as needed
  • Must be able to work with the team in improving work processes for the department
  • Practice good housekeeping
  • Manage warranty and repair work with vendors (RMA)
  • Other duties as assigned by Inventory and Resource Manager

Qualifications


  • A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse and parts counter preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Ability to maintain a valid, state issued driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 3-5 years’ working knowledge of shipping/receiving/warehouse procedures preferred
  • Strong Microsoft applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong background in Frac, Cement, Sand, or Chemicals is preferred
